Dear visitors and friends of Fallada,

When you visit the Hans Fallada Museum and its magnificent garden by Lake Carwitz, do you, too, find yourself thinking: what a jewel!

For 25 years, the Hans Fallada Society has operated the Hans Fallada Museum in its present form, offering a wide range of guided tours, literary walks and readings. But there is much more: “Fridays with Fallada”, the Hans Fallada Days, the recently introduced Sunday harp matinees and the Carwitz film evenings give this place its special character of vitality, exchange, joy and reflection.

These events and projects – which also include special and travelling exhibitions, a literary journal, academic colloquia and readings in schools – involve a great deal of voluntary work and require funding.

We will continue to depend on voluntary support in the future. Please therefore see our call for volunteers (in German).

Donations also help, because we have to generate most of the museum’s budget ourselves, while the present and the future pose major financial challenges.
